my role: create a sustainable packaging system for the Long Weekend brand.

keeping Long Weekend's packaging plastic-free was the team's biggest priority. from the product's outer bag to each individual hang tag, keeping plastic out of the equation and encouraging recyclability was key.
I explored a few closure options for the kraft bags, and landed on a simple fold + adhesive option. this design was the most cost effective, and also lent itself to no-hassle recyclability.

the hang tags presented a new challenge of staying plastic-free. I initially explored more traditional threaded options, then settled on a folded "luggage tag" design that didn't require thread or other fastening materials.
